Some of us dream of nice neat pictures with straight edges and clear contrasts. Everything is framed with the correct colors and is supported so the light we shine upon it is balanced.
Sounds great, huh? Most lived experiences are not anywhere near that neatness. In my life, I spend valuable time trying to make it all straight. Yet, I hear the voice of God asking me to relax and allow God to blend my colors and shed the correct light upon my life.
My brothers and sisters, I ask you to help me to remember that Our Lord calls us to surrender the entire palette, including the canvas and any framing. When you join me in making God the Master Artist, then I can realize the masterpiece that I am.
After all, I see you as an artistic treasure. Why can’t I see it in myself?
